Roofing Leads vs. Booked Appointments

Most roofing leads are a name and a phone number, resold to whoever else bought the list. Ours arrive as a qualified homeowner in a chair at a scheduled time.

A Roofing Lead, Already Booked

You get a homeowner sitting at their kitchen table expecting your rep. Not a name on a spreadsheet shared with 5 other roofers.

HailTrace Verified

Every address is cross-referenced against HailTrace satellite imagery. We only call homes in confirmed storm-damage zones.

Insurance Pre-Checked

We verify the homeowner has active insurance before setting the appointment. No wasted windshield time on uninsured properties.

Decision Maker Present

We confirm the decision maker will be home at the scheduled time. No more showing up to an empty house or talking to a tenant.

Full Call Recording

Every appointment-setting call is recorded. Listen to exactly what was said. Use recordings to train your closers.

Replacement Guarantee

No-show? Bad info? Homeowner not home? We replace the appointment at zero cost. You only pay for real sits.

No Contracts

Buy 20 appointments. If you want more, reorder. If you want to stop, stop. No commitments, no cancellation fees.

How It Works

1

Tell Us Your Storm Markets

Give us your target zip codes, storm dates, and preferred appointment windows. We handle the rest.

2

We Build Targeted Lists

HailTrace satellite data + county assessor records + insurance carrier matching. We only call homes with confirmed storm damage and active policies.

3

Appointments Land on Your Calendar

Qualified homeowners, confirmed date and time, decision maker present. Your sales rep shows up and closes.

Not sure which zip codes took it? Our own hail-data site publishes the National Weather Service storm archive as a live hail map, broken out state by state and county by county. It is free and there is no signup -- bring us the counties off it and we will build the list.

Chasing one property rather than a whole zip code? The same site will look up hail history at a single address and return the dates and hail sizes on record near it. That date is the one an insurance claim gets organised around, and it is the first thing our agents confirm before a homeowner is asked to hold a time.

Wondering what step 3 looks like from your side? The storm playbook is the onboarding guide we hand every client: the welcome email and logins that open the account, the shared tracker each appointment is written into, the recording of the call that set it, and how to tell us in Slack when a homeowner no-shows.

What a Hail Week Does to Your Phone

The appointments are the easy part to sell you. This is the part that decides whether you keep the work once it lands.

A storm does not raise demand gently. It lands on a handful of counties in one afternoon, and every roof under the swath starts looking for a contractor in the same week. Your market goes from ordinary to the loudest it has been all year with no hiring cycle in between.

Then the crews go up. The people who covered the phone in a normal week are on ladders, pulling permits and walking an adjuster around a roof, so the office gets thinner at the exact hour the line gets busier. Storm season is a staffing problem before it is a marketing problem, and it is the one part of it that no lead vendor is selling you a fix for.

The calls arriving are not one kind of call, either. A yard sign brings homeowners who want a look. Adjusters ring back mid-inspection. Supplement questions come in from jobs you sold last month. And the appointments already on your calendar call to move a time, because a homeowner with an open roof has a busy week too. Every one of those is a different conversation and they all land on the same line.

A lot of it arrives once the homeowner is home from work -- in the evening, and across the weekend. That is the window a roofing office is least likely to be staffed for, and a missed call in it does not wait for you. It goes to whoever picked up. Whether you need cover only for the hours you are shut, or round-the-clock cover for the whole week, is worth settling before you price anything: the two are different products and only one of them is arithmetic on your own opening hours.

A batch of appointments does not fix any of that, and we would rather say so here than on the invoice. Appointments are outbound supply: our agents dialling storm-verified addresses and putting a homeowner in a chair for your rep. They add sits to the calendar. They do not answer your line on a Saturday morning. If the surge you are actually facing is inbound, the honest product is a roofing answering service covering the hours your office is shut -- buy that first, or buy both, rather than stacking sits onto a calendar nobody is free to defend.

If you are not sure which of the two you are facing, the tell is usually in how your office already handles the calls it does get. The warning signs that a roofing intake process has stopped keeping up show up in an ordinary week too; a storm week only makes them louder.

How to check this instead of taking our word for it

Every vendor on this search result will tell you its appointments are exclusive and its agents are trained. None of that is checkable from the outside. Here is what we publish that is.

  • The calls themselves. Recorded storm appointment calls, homeowner objections left in and only personal details muted. Listen before you spend anything and judge the agent rather than the pitch.
  • What our own phone floor actually does. We published the answer-rate study straight off our own inbound records -- how many callers reach a live agent, how long a caller waits, and how much demand lands outside business hours -- with both denominators, the window it was measured over, and a section naming the two after-hours windows our own coverage handles badly. A vendor who publishes only the flattering half is telling you something.
  • What happens after you buy. The storm playbook is the onboarding we hand every client: the logins, the shared tracker each appointment is written into, the recording of the call that set it, and how to tell us when a homeowner does not answer the door.

Do Not Take Our Word for It

Hear the Calls for Yourself

We published 20 real recorded appointment calls -- real homeowners, real objections, and every one ends with a booked inspection. Personal details are muted; the objection handling and the closes are untouched.

These are not the easy ones. You will hear homeowners push back -- storm chaser, already have a guy, not interested -- and the rebuttal is left in rather than cut out. That is what the rest of our recorded roofing conversations look like too: an objection turns up on a conversation that ends in a booked inspection about as often as on one that ends in a no. An objection tells you a conversation is happening, not that it is failing.

In a 635-call set of substantive roofing conversations, 82% of the calls that booked and 78% of the calls that were lost contained at least one homeowner objection. 209 of the 212 booked roofing calls (98.6%) ran past 60 seconds. In a 60-call random sample of calls that ended "not interested", 5 (8.3%) did. A call that books is almost always a call that got past the first minute -- the part a script cannot fake and a bot does not survive.

Two selection caveats travel with that reading, on purpose. The set it comes from deliberately over-samples the calls that booked, so nothing in it is a population rate -- it cannot tell you how often an objection ends in a sale, and the minute figure is a correlation on calls we already know the outcome of rather than a lever to pull. And its losing side is long conversations rather than hang-ups, so it describes calls where a conversation actually happened, not every dial. The full objection map is published with both of its denominators on the outbound call center page.

Why the unit is an appointment

3.6% of contacted homeowners booked an inspection (210 of 5,772 contact calls); 2.0% of all dials did (212 of 10,794 calls). That is the shape of the work you are not doing: the list, the dialling, the homeowners who never answer and the ones who push back, all of it sitting behind every slot that lands on your calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about storm damage appointments.

How much does each appointment cost?
$200 per appointment, sold in batches of 20. That is $4,000 per batch. No hidden fees, no monthly retainers, no contracts.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes. The standard batch is 20 appointments. That is enough volume to see your own close rate rather than a small-sample result. Ask about a smaller first batch if you want to test the channel before committing to a full one.
What happens if a homeowner no-shows?
We replace no-shows at no charge. If the homeowner does not answer the door or cancels before your rep arrives, we replace that appointment with a new one. You only pay for real sits.
What is your replacement policy?
Any appointment where the homeowner is not home, gave false information, or does not have storm damage gets replaced free of charge. We stand behind every appointment we deliver.
What markets do you serve?
Anywhere there is documented storm damage. We use HailTrace satellite data and county assessor records to identify impacted zip codes. If hail or wind hit your area, we can build a list and start calling within 48 hours.
How fast can you start delivering appointments?
Typical turnaround is 3-5 business days from the time we receive your target zip codes and storm date. We build the list, load the dialer, and start calling. Appointments begin flowing within the first week.
Are these appointments shared with other roofers?
No. Every appointment is 100% exclusive to you. We never sell the same appointment to multiple contractors. When a homeowner agrees to a sit, that appointment belongs to you and only you.
Do I get recordings of the calls?
Yes. Every call is recorded and stored. You get full access to listen to exactly what was said, verify the appointment was set properly, and use the recordings for training your sales team. Want proof? Listen to 20 real examples at ccdocs.com/roofing-storm-appointments/live-calls/.
What if I want to scale up beyond 20 appointments?
Just reorder. There is no contract to renegotiate and no waiting period between batches, so you can order the next one the day you are ready. We can scale to 100+ appointments per week if you have the crew to run them.
Do you require a contract or long-term commitment?
No contracts. No commitments. You buy a batch of 20 appointments, we deliver them. If you want more, you reorder. If you want to stop, you stop. It is that simple.
Who is actually making these calls -- a person or a bot?
A trained human agent, on a recorded line. That is checkable rather than something you have to take on faith: the appointment calls we publish are real ones with the homeowner objections left in and only personal details muted, and you can listen before you spend anything. If a vendor will not let you hear who is dialling on their behalf, treat that as the answer to the question.
What if there is no fresh storm in my market?
Then we say so instead of filling a batch with whatever will answer the phone. Appointments come off storm-verified lists, so a market with nothing on the record leaves three honest options: widen the counties your crews will drive to, wait for the next event, or put the money into the calls you are already missing. Bring the counties off the free hail map and we will tell you what is there before you buy anything.
Can you work the lead list I already have?
That is a different job from buying a batch and it is quoted separately. Aged leads, a canvassing list or an old CRM export get worked as a dialled campaign, which is build-out territory rather than a per-appointment purchase -- both sit side by side on our pricing page. Say which one you actually have on the call: buying new appointments on top of a list nobody is working makes the backlog worse, not better.
What is the difference between storm damage leads and storm appointments?
A storm damage lead is contact information -- a name, a phone number and an address inside a hail swath -- and the same record is often sold to several contractors off the same list. A storm appointment is a homeowner who has already been called, already agreed to a date and time, and is expecting your rep at the door. You are buying the outcome of the dialling rather than the chance to do it. That is also why a per-lead price and a per-appointment price are not comparable: one is a chance, the other is a sit.
What makes a storm lead qualified before you set the appointment?
The checkable parts, and we will say which they are. The address sits inside a verified storm swath rather than a county-wide guess. The person on the phone is the one who can sign, not a tenant. The property carries an active policy. And the homeowner has held a specific date and time rather than agreeing to a visit sometime this week. Everything past that is judgement, which is why the recordings are published with the objections left in -- so you can grade ours before you buy.
Our own phone gets overwhelmed after a storm. Will buying appointments fix that?
No, and it is worth being straight about it rather than selling you a batch. Appointments are outbound supply: our agents dialling storm-verified addresses to put sits on your calendar. That does not answer your line. If the real problem is that homeowners who already found you cannot get through in the evening or at the weekend, the fix is coverage on the inbound side, and our roofing answering service page is the one to read. Say which of the two you are facing on the call and we will tell you which to buy first.
How much extra volume can you run in a storm week?
We will not put a multiple on that, because we have not measured one we would stand behind, and a surge figure invented for a sales page is worth nothing to you the week the hail actually lands. What we will commit to is already on this page: you give us the zip codes and the storm date, we build the list and load the dialer, and appointments start landing in the first week. If we cannot serve the counties you bring us at the pace you need, we say so on the call instead of taking the order.

"We build call centers for roofing contractors. I can tell you from experience -- the ones who win storm season are the ones who stop buying shared leads and start owning their appointment pipeline. 20 appointments at $200 each is the lowest-risk way to prove it works for your market. If it does not perform, you walk away. No contracts. No hard feelings."
